Partner Warm-Up #3
From Plank Road Publishing
by Teresa JenningsThis partner warm-up is written for older students, despite its somewhat "youthful" quality. Both parts are introduced separately, then combined, as with most partner songs. Part 2 is written in bass clef and is meant to be performed by lower, changing, or changed voices.
This warm-up emphasizes enunciation, sliding pitches, and diphthongs. It should not be sung sweetly. In fact, the "meows" of part 1 in particular should be quite nasal and harsh as a result of very open and moving mouths. (from Music K-8, Vol. 15, No. 4)
